Extracurricular
The school organises a variety of trips, activities and clubs throughout the year.
Physical Education
PE is at the heart of the school which is facilitated by a large sports hall, the main hall and extensive playing fields. The school also frequently uses the local swimming pool, fitness suite, tennis club and AstroTurf facilities. The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme is also well established at bronze and silver levels at the school.
We encourage participation and competition in a variety of sports and currently have sporting teams representing us in: football; rugby; netball; hockey; athletics; cross country; badminton; rounders; table tennis; cricket and golf. However beyond these sporting teams we run a variety of extra-curricular clubs, many of which are supported by older students, that welcome students of all abilities in a non-competitive environment.
Extra-curricular clubs have been established in non-sporting activities too and these are very well attended across the school week. The range of extra-curricular activities we are currently offering is below:

The Arts
Our school has a long tradition of successful music and drama. Music lessons are available and many of our pupils are involved in our weekly extracurricular music programme including a wide range of choirs and ensembles across all music genres and styles. We have an annual concert programme, and our drama and music departments also work collaboratively to produce an annual musical production.
Trips and Visits
All students will have the opportunity to go on trips and visits while at QEGS. There are many trips organised throughout the year to a variety of places in the UK and overseas. Larger residential visits with community projects are also available for students to get involved in including World Challenge.
