Year 8 Football QEGS vs JSTC

The Year 8 football team faced a strong and well-organised JSTC side in their first match of the season. Despite a challenging start, the QEGS team grew in confidence as the game progressed, working more effectively together and showing promising link-up play. Several powerful efforts on goal in the second half demonstrated their determination, though the JSTC defence proved difficult to break down.

Finley, in goal, was outstanding throughout the match, making several crucial saves to keep QEGS in contention. Archie also led by example with excellent leadership on the pitch, inspiring his teammates with his effort and commitment.

A special thank you goes to sixth form coaches Harry and Gabriel for their support and guidance, and to Declan in Year 11 for refereeing the fixture so well.
