SchoolY10 Netball Tournament - David Ross Invitational
Congratulations once again to the year 10 netball team who on Friday 25th February travelled to Nottingham University for the David Ross Invitational Netball Tournament.
With teams from Lincolnshire Nottinghamshire & Leicestershire the year 10 team were in their element & grew throughout the tournament.
Looking at the 2 groups of 4, QEGS were definitely in the toughest group & they started slowly with a 7-7 draw with Kesteven & Grantham Girls School, but then never looked back; beating Amherst from Loughborough 9-1 & Bourne Grammar School 13-3, winning their group & moving onto the semi finals.
William Robertson were QEGS next opponents in the semi finals who they beat emphatically 22-7. Then onto the final where they were up against Bourne Grammar again. No problem a fantastic 29-14 victory & the trophy was QEGS.
