Six Words, Endless Stories: Literary Festival Competition Inspires Student Creativity
As part of the HET Literary Festival, the school library launched a Six-Word Story Competition designed to spark creativity, celebrate brevity and showcase the power of storytelling in its simplest form.
The response was fantastic with over 70 entries submitted by students from across all year groups. Submissions ranged from the witty and humorous to the dark and scary reflecting the diverse voices of our student body and their enthusiasm for storytelling.
Winning entries were announced at the end of term assembly, led by headteacher Simon Furness. Each of the three lucky winners received a book voucher, thanks to the generosity of the PTA, and they can now look forward to choosing a new summer read!
