Notification of Change from SatchelOne to My Child At School on Bromcom

Dear Parents and Carers

Homework will continue to be set on SatchelOne from the 16th June until the 27th June.

From Monday 30th June all homework set for students will be visible in Bromcom's: My Child At School (MCAS).

This change will support our plans to ensure that all information that you require to keep you updated about your child's education is available in one place.

The 'Homework' module on the MCAS app and web portal will be visible from the 16th June, and you may see some test homework or duplicated homework from SatchelOne.  Please ignore any homework you see on MCAS prior to the switchover date of Monday 30th June, as it will be a result of staff learning how to use the new system.

From the 16th to the 27th June students will spend some time in Citizenship lessons learning how to access any set homework via the 'Bromcom - Student Portal', this is dedicated time in a computer room. Students will also be issued with instructions for how to access their own homework information.

From September 2025 all homework set for in Years 7-11 will be on MCAS.

Extracts from the original briefing information are detailed below to support you in the use of the MCAS Platform.

Yours sincerely,

Mr S Ward
Assistant Headteacher

Bromcom: My Child at School
We have moved to a new management information system at the school called Bromcom. As part of the new system, we are excited to announce the launch of a tool that will enhance communication and engagement between school and home - the My Child at School (MCAS) app and My Child at School Web Portal (https://www.mychildatschool.com).
The MCAS app and Web Portal gives you easy access to important information about your child’s progress, attendance, behaviour, and more, all from the convenience of your mobile phone or tablet. They are designed to support your involvement in your child’s education, keeping you informed and engaged in their school life.
Key Features of the MCAS App and Web Portal:
· Attendance: View your child’s attendance record and see any absences or lateness.
· Behaviour and Rewards: Track your child’s behaviour, rewards, and achievements throughout the school year.
· Reports and Progress: Access reports, assessments, and progress updates from your child’s teachers.
· Timetable: Keep track of your child’s timetable.
We will continue to incorporate additional functionality as we move other school systems over to Bromcom.
Getting Started:
1. Links to the MCAS App and the Web Portal are available on the school website and can be found by going to the ‘Contact’ tab and clicking ‘Useful Links’. We encourage all parents to download the app or access the web portal and start using it as soon as possible.
2. Once your account is created, you can continue using the Web Portal or you may wish to download the app and sign in to this.
The app can be downloaded from both the  App Store (iOS)  and Google Play (Android), links are also available to do this on the school website.
You are also able to set up your account directly by going to www.mychildatschool.com. You will need your email address linked to school that we have on record, as well as the school’s postcode (LN9 5AD).
If you have any further difficulties, please contact school at [email protected] and include ‘MCAS Parental Log-in Issue’ as the subject title.
