National Apprenticeship Week - 2023

This week we have been celebrating National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) at QEGS. NAW is an opportunity for the education and skills sector to recognise the achievements of apprentices around the country and the positive impact they make to communities, businesses, and the wider economy. At QEGS we have been delighted to invite a broad range of local employers into school to discuss local apprenticeship opportunities with students in Year 11 and Sixth Form. Students and employers networked over coffee and croissants before listening to more formal presentations about the range of apprenticeships available and routes to employment. Students went away with a wealth of information about apprenticeships ranging from engineering and legal to roles in the leisure sector and the civil service. We are grateful to the following organisations for offering their support to provide our students with this valuable opportunity; Boston College, Lincoln College, Sills & Betteridge, Magna Vitae, Balfour Beatty, Lincolnshire County Council, Polypipe, Micronclean, DWP and Lincolnshire Housing Partnership.
