Athletics Combined Event - 2023-05

On Wed. 24^th May, Chloe Fields and Zoe Butterfield (both in Y9) competed in the county combined athletics event in Boston. The girls took part in the U15s pentathlon, which consisted of the following events: 75m hurdles, SP, HJ, 800m and LJ.

In total, there was 44 competitors taking part in this event. This was Zoe's first experience of such an event and did incredibly well finishing in 26^th place, scoring 1228pts. A great achievement.

Chloe is a member of an athletics club and has been training for many years now and regularly competes in similar events, so this was nothing new to her. This showed, as Chloe finished in 1^st place, scoring 2106 points, 46 points ahead of 2^nd place. A fantastic achievement and a reflection of how talented she is and the hard work she puts into this sport.

Chloe has now qualified for the regional combined events which take place in Boston on the weekend of 24th and 25th June. We wish her all the best. Well done girls.
