Application to Sixth Form

There are over 200 Sixth Form students at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School, many of whom have progressed from Year 11 but also a significant number of students who have joined from other schools.

All applicants are required to have at least GCSE English Language and GCSE Mathematics at grade 4 or above, and either a total of at least:

• 4 GCSEs at grade 6, which may include Mathematics and English Language, or

• 3 GCSEs at grade 6, which may include Mathematics and English Language, and one other Level 2 qualification at Distinction, A grade or equivalent.

All potential Sixth Form students must complete the application form below and are invited to attend the Sixth Form Information Evening on Wednesday 1^st November, 6pm.

Please note that 23^rd February is the last date for unrestricted subject choices. After this point, any changes to A Level choices must be made by completing a ‘Request for Course Change’ – please email [email protected] if you require this form. Any offers of provisional places would normally be made towards the end of the spring term.

All prospective Sixth Form students are expected to attend our Sixth Form Induction Week, after GCSEs have finished.

Application Afternoons

Application afternoons are a chance for prospective students from other schools to visit the Sixth Form in normal school time. Parents are welcome to attend. Existing Sixth Form will act as tour guides and you will have the opportunity to talk to a member of the senior staff who will give you advice on Sixth Form courses and alternatives.

For September 2024 entry, Application Afternoons from 2pm to 3pm will be held on the following dates:
