What the proposed changes are:
Years 7-11

A change to the date for determining whether a pupil counts as living within the school’s designated transport area:

6.3 The date for determining whether a pupil counts as living within the designated area for free transport, in order to take this into account for 1st March offers, is the deadline date for late applications and changes as published by Lincolnshire School Admissions Team in the academic year preceding entry. This is usually around mid-December.

Sixth Form
A change to the qualification criteria for entry into the Sixth Form:
3.3 All applicants are required to have at least GCSE English Language and GCSE Mathematics at grade 4 or above, and either a total of at least:
  • 4 GCSEs at grade 6, which may include Mathematics and English Language, or
  • 3 GCSEs at grade 6, which may include Mathematics and English Language, and one other Level 2 qualification at Distinction, A grade or equivalent.

Parents of prospective students are welcome to visit the school by prior arrangement with the Headteacher.

The main open evening is in the early autumn – the date and details are shared with primary schools, the local media and via the school’s social media channels.

Year 7

The school is responsible for its own admission arrangements and works closely with the Local Education Authority which holds details on all dates and procedures concerning application forms, deadlines, languages and offers.

Students wanting to join the school in Year 7 must achieve the minimum standard score in the 11+ selection tests which are set and standardised on behalf of the Lincolnshire Consortium of Grammar Schools (LCGS). Find out more about the 11+ test or purchase practice papers.

Sixth Form

Our Sixth Form is open to all students and offers great facilities and equipment including specialist classrooms, laboratories, dedicated study areas with laptops and a well-furnished reading room. Our experienced subject specialists deliver high-quality teaching and offer unrivalled support that helps students to achieve excellent results.
