Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School Horncastle

Street Art - Community Workshop

Monday 16th May - A group of nine year 7 and year 12 students attended ‘Horncastle Mural Project’ held at 'Just one more bike' this was a fantastic opportunity working in the sunshine  for students to be creative working with two professional urban aerosol artists of 'Imageskool.com' designing and painting .  As well as being an enjoyable and valuable experience to work as a team on a large scale those who attended will also be awarded Arts award 'explore '.

James Mayle from imageskool states ' Mural projects can help engage young people in an artistic activity that will promote self- expression, teamwork and ownership with pride in their work in local community'  As this is part of a Horncastle community project there are further opportunities to go along and take part with Horncastle community Mural ;Saturday 28th May - Monday 30th May for general public at St. Lawrence Street.  Sunday 29th May will be specifically for the group who attended this session.
