Sixth Form Leavers' Concert

On Wednesday 26th April we held our Leavers’ Concert. Organised entirely by the Sixth Form Music Committee, it featured lots of solo items from various year 13 students, plus a duet from a Year 11 student and Mrs Addis, and songs by the Year 13 rock band. The concert began with a beautiful close-harmony piece called Northern Lights sung by the Chamber Choir and ended with everyone performing Good Riddance by Green Day. Mrs Addis thanked all the students for their commitment, hard work and dedication to QEGS music and made them promise not to end their music journey but to continue enjoying music-making into their adults lives. It was a wonderful evening. The photo shows all the Year 13 musicians with their two music teachers.
