Annual Sixth Form Geography Conference 2024
Year 13 students studying Geography had the opportunity to attend the annual 6th form conference on the 13th September, which was hosted at Lincoln University and jointly organised between the University and the Lincoln Branch of the Geographical Association.
Students heard presentations from a number of the University's Geography Department:
- Professor Edward Hanna: 'Climate, Cryosphere and Extreme Weather'
- Dr Catherine Sanders: 'Ecosystems Engineers - Animals as Architects'
-
Dr Julian Clifton: 'Globalisation'
During lunchtime students had the opportunity to engage in a range of additional activities that had been organised by the University and the day finished with a chance for students to put their questions to members of the University teaching team.
In addition to finding out more about what undergraduate studies will be like, the day also served to reinforce the existing studies that are A Level students are covering.
