Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School Horncastle

The French course is designed to prepare students for success at GCSE, and all modules incorporate challenge and will stretch more able students. There is a strong focus on grammar, which builds confidence and allows students to speak and write high-quality French.

We cover the key examination skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening, with further emphasis on skills inclusing resilience, independence and self-management.

We follow the AQA GCSE and A Level courses, and our KS3 syllabus is designed to prepare students fully for study at KS4 and beyond.

An online vocabulary championship runs each month and is highly popular amongst students.

Sixth form students work as mentors for younger students in the school where required, and a lunchtime support session is run by staff as well.
