There is a constantly evolving programme of enrichment based on curriculum developments and the emergence of new opportunities.  Sixth form students are taken to an annual conference organised by the Lincoln Branch of the Geographical Association as well as being encouraged to attend the programme of evening lectures.  The Geography Department also enters two teams, drawn from our GCSE groups, for the national World Wise Quiz; this year our teams gained first and second place in the county round of the event.  Throughout the year, students are offered opportunities to enrich their learning through a variety of visits.   For example, Year 7 visit a local farm to study changes in the industry; GCSE students collect data from a number of carefully chosen local places to help them with their geographical enquiries; Year 12 A-Level students stay in Whitby which enables them to study the complete course of a river and also coastal erosion and defence; Year 13 visit Leverton Marshes in order to investigate salt marsh succession.
