On the 13th October a team of 3 students went to Branston Academy to take part in the northern Lincolnshire heat of the Geographical Association’s Worldwise quiz. At the same time a quiz using the same questions was taking place at Stamford School in the south of the County.
The team comprising of Christopher Bargh, Matthew Waters and Ryan McFahn were joint leaders in the first round with Skegness Academy and The Priory LSST but pulled slightly ahead of them in the second. After seven rounds they eventually were the clear winners of the northern Lincolnshire heat and can be seen in the picture with their prizes.
They then had a long and nervous wait for the other quiz to finish at Stamford but were then told the good news that they had achieved the highest score in the County and were the overall Geographical Association’s Worldwise Quiz Lincolnshire champions for the second consecutive year. Last year’s team comprised of Christopher Bargh, Christian James and Matthew Waters.
