Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School Horncastle

The Mathematics Department, consisting of four full-time teachers, two part-time teachers and two Deputy Head Teachers, is the largest in the school teaching all the students in Years 7 to 11. The number of AS/A2 level students taking Mathematics is one of the highest in the school.

Years 7 to 9 students follow the National Curriculum for KS3. Lessons are varied in style and content and many contain an ICT component. My Maths is used regularly for homework or as an aid to revision. All Year 10 and 11 students are following the new specification for GCSE Edexcel GCSE 9-1 2015

In the sixth form single mathematicians study for the AQA A Level Mathematics course, whilst students opting for A-Levels in maths and further maths follow the OCR MEI A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics course.
