Regional Heartache

On Wed. 20th March, the KS4 Boys Badminton team travelled to Leicester College to represent Lincolnshire in the regional badminton finals. The team played against three other schools: Oundle (Northamptonshire), West Bridgeford (Nottinghamshire) and Loughborough College (Leicestershire). In each match the boys played 2 singles and 3 doubles games. The team were fantastic and the badminton they produced was to an extremely high level. Unfortunately, in the first match they narrowly lost 3-2 in games to Loughborough College. However, after this the boys didn't look back as they went on to beat both West Bridgeford and Oundle 5-0, not losing one game.
Sadly, the team finished runners up only losing out on 1st place by one game! Despite, this it was an incredible achievement to finish 2nd in the East Midlands. Well done boys.
