Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School Horncastle

Psychology Lectures Hosted At QEGS

The psychology faculty hosted a morning of lectures, in school, on the 14th March.  Dr Amanda Roberts and Dr Tracey Thornborrow from the Psychology Faculty of Lincoln University presented to our Psychology A Level students.  We were joined by teachers and psychology students from QEGS Alford.  The lectures included, How the sociocultural environment shapes our body image and addiction and gambling disorder.  Both academics shared their most recent research and the impact of their findings.  It was a fabulous opportunity for the students to engage in psychological research, being shared by the researcher, rather than just reading about it in a textbook.  A great morning of psychology and a brilliant opportunity for students to experience university lectures.
