Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School Horncastle

Football Trip

On Tuesday 26th March, 48 students (Y10-13) travelled to Wembley Stadium to watch the England men's football team play Belgium in an international friendly. Despite England not winning, it was still a thrilling game to watch with the final score ending 2-2; this included England scoring an injury time equaliser. All students thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity of watching some of the best footballers in the world such as Foden, Bellingham and Doku. In addition to this, for many of the students it was their first experience of attending a live football game (not a bad first game to watch live). Due to the success of the trip, hopefully, this will become an annual event #englandtowineuro24.
