Headteacher

I would like to wish you a very warm welcome to our website. I am delighted and honoured to be the Headteacher of Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School and to lead it into its next stage of development. We encourage all our students to work hard and to aim high in order to achieve success and fulfil their ambitions for a rewarding future. Our main aim is to provide first class learning and teaching opportunities to ensure that all of our students make significant progress from their individual starting points.

We were delighted to be judged by Ofsted as an ‘Outstanding’ school and we are always looking for ways to improve.  We are proud of our students and acknowledge the accolade from Ofsted who reported that “students demonstrate excellent attitudes to school life”.

It is my view that the best schools are those that ensure the young people within them are happy, safe and can flourish and strive to be the best they can possibly be and I believe we do exactly that. We are a happy school, our students enjoy their learning and staff enjoy working with them. Our success is built on the foundation of strong relationships and an ethos of support that underpins all that we do.

Thank you for taking time to look at our website but I would urge you to come into our school and experience a lively, warm welcome. Our students love nothing more than showing visitors around our school and sharing their experiences with them. We do not have set days for tours as we are proud of the positive learning experiences that take place on a daily basis. Therefore if you would like to experience life at Queen Elizabeth’s first hand, then please contact the school to arrange a visit at your earliest convenience.
